No snakes, foxes or intruders in my Garden!

Lesson 14

God has really been highlighting the glory of His garden in my heart.  This is the place of intimate communion with Him, where we cannot allow any defilement.

In a natural garden we have to constantly tend it by weeding, pruning, watering, removing dead leaves, cleaning up after a storm, etc.  Then we also have the possibility of snakes, foxes and other intruders that can spoil our garden.

This very aptly applies to the garden of our heart where we want to enjoy the fragrance of God's Presence and His creative genius, basking in the rays of the Sun of Righteousness, being refreshed and empowered by the strengthening of His power and His glory.
Of course the enemy would love to invade our garden with darkness and deception, just like with Eve.

Recently, as I was looking out the window, I noticed two snakes laying on the shrubs surrounding the fence of my garden. I immediately picked up a warning in my spirit and rebuked the snakes who are watching to gain entry into my garden. God is so faithful to give us warning ahead of time.

We have to guard against any assignment of the enemy, who
knows our soft spots by our reactions.  As we simply submit to the Holy Spirit, calling on the power of the Blood of Jesus for protection, we can gain heavenly council.

When our hearts are open for the loving ministry of Holy Spirit, we quickly discover random thoughts or utterances of presumptions, suppositions and negative invaders that seek entry to squat on our land. Weeds spring up quickly and as we bask in the light of His countenance, these thieves are quickly exposed. But, we cannot leave it at that! It calls for instant repentance, forgiveness to others, application of the blood of Jesus and renouncing of every negative thought, word or attitude.

The plumb line is LOVE!  The Lord wants to enjoy the fruit of our garden and also bring His friends to enjoy it:

"I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved."  Song of Solomon 5:1

Can all the content of our hearts pass the test of love?  If not, we are entertaining intruders and before we know it, they might produce some offspring.

Therefore, rise above your negative circumstances and negative things coming from others - especially in the form of hurtful words or accusations.  Do not receive it, but  get divine perspective from above and then take authority over the snakes and scorpions and every attempt of the enemy to invade your garden.

Maintain your stand in righteousness and with it also your peace and joy.

For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit - Rom.14:17
